Kasim
‘What is affordable to you or me is completely unaffordable to someone else, what is affordability? When I was elected in March 2019 I said to the council, how can you sell a property or council building and on council land - this is unhealthy. We are not property developers. We are here to support the community.’
Kasim Ali is a North Kensington resident and councillor in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, where he is also the Chair of Housing and Communities Select Committee. Kasim was long-listed to be the next Labour MP for the Kensington constituency in 2022.
